As you will see in my gallery, originally Racket was based on a plum faced parakeet... but she did not feel right as a character I wanted to use in art exchanges especially as Cotingaa is so colourful herself. So I had a little think and decided to base Racket on the Gang-Gang cockatoo, one of my favourite birds. Gang Gangs are not quite as bright or colourful but certainly full of character and caught the feel I was going for. I changed the original drawing and made her more stocky and I am much more happy with the outcome.

There appears to be some smudges outside the lines on her headfeathers - not sure if this was intentional, but the rest of the image seems pretty clean.
